This privacy policy statement outlines the types of personal information received and collected by The Economics of Peace and Security Journal (EPSJ) and how it is used.

In brief, except for authors, reviewers, and subscribers EPSJ does not collect any personally or institutionally identifiable information from visitors to our web site. For once, we are happy to be agnostic. Even authors, reviewers, and subscribers need not reveal more than a name and an email address. This information is used exclusively for contact purposes. None is shared with any outside party.

Log files: The software underlying our web site comes from the Public Knowledge Project, in Canada, specifically its open source Open Journal Systems software. This software package may include code to generate log files over which EPSJ has no control and which, to our knowledge, do not include any personally identifiable information.

Cookies and web beacons: We do not employ cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, nor record user-specific information on which pages users access or visit, nor customize web page content based on visitors’ browser type or other information that visitors send via their browser.

Google Analytics and similar services: We do not use Google Analytics or similar services and do not show advertisement on our site. In fact, we encourage the use of ad blockers and other privacy protection measures.

No access: EPSJ has no access to or control over cookies that third-parties may place on your browser screen when you access our site.

Consult: You should consult the respective privacy policies of third-party advertisement, tracking, and/or other servers for information on their practices as well as for instructions about how to opt-out of certain practices. Our privacy policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-party advertisers, trackers, or other websites.
