Submissions:

We invite potential contributors of original, substantive articles pertaining to the journal's aims (3,000-5,000 words) to contact the editors with a 1-2 page memo. Include the working title of your proposed article and a description of its content. Articles may be essays or research pieces. The former generally summarize extant research, practice, or policy in a particular field or specialty in common-sense English, highlighting the main problems, findings, policy issues, and conclusions for a global audience that includes national and international policy and decisionmakers, NGO personnel, scholars and scientists, and members of the military, peacekeeping, religious, business, advocacy, and other communities. We discourage the use of copious notes. Research articles should follow usual academic practices. Please read the journal's Aims and Scope before contacting the editors with your proposal. EPSJ also intends to web-publish selected letters or comments (< 800 words) on articles and materials appearing in the journal and on this web site. Please send these to the journal's editors.

Peer-review: All articles are subject to peer-review, including solicited pieces. EPSJ is indexed in the Journal of Economic Literature.

Submission style: EPSJ's style guidelines are contained in this PDF stylesheet. Note that the final manuscript will need to include an abstract, keywords, and JEL codes. The final manuscript should be submitted here, using our manuscript submission site. (Please do NOT submit full papers here without prior consultation with the editors.) Note that the site requires that authors must submit an identifiable version as well as an anonymous version. (If you do not care about revealing your identity to reviewers, just submit the same version twice.)

Time lines: EPSJ is issued twice a year, in January and in July. Please strictly keep to the time lines posted here.
